Compatibility
- Which platform does Dropshot support?
- Dropshot is built for iPhone running iOS 17 or later.
- Is Apple Watch required?
- No. The iPhone records the practice. A Watch worn on the racket wrist can optionally contribute motion data.
- Does it work on Android?
- No Android version has been announced.
MVP functionality
- Which strokes can I record?
- Forehands, backhands, and serves. Dropshot counts repetitions, saves individual review clips, and shows technique checks for each drill.
- Are lesson videos included?
- Yes. Search or filter lessons on grips, strokes, footwork, rules and scoring, and strategy by topic and playing level.
- Does Dropshot replace a coach?
- Dropshot complements coaching by making solo practice easier to review. It cannot replace a coach’s full context or safety judgment.
Recording help
If a stroke is hard to review, check the side-on camera position, full-body framing, racket visibility, light, and phone stability. Follow the iPhone tennis camera setup guide before repeating a recording.
Account and privacy help
Dropshot uses Sign in with Apple. A dedicated support channel and account-data request process will be published before public beta. Current recording and data handling are explained on the privacy page.
